The impact left a crater measuring 1.4m by 1.2m (4ft 7in by 3ft 11in) in the middle of their lawn with bits of ice scattered across the grass. Thus far, 1.8 million unique species have been documented; it’s estimated that more than ten million species remain to be found. The baby, to his mother’s shock, was born without ears or a nose, and with eyes that protrude heavily out of their sockets. Karishma said: ‘His eyes were red and huge. He was looking at me and his nose was flat. He also does not have ears. ‘I had gone into labour late at night and by 4am he was born naturally. ‘I was excited to see him, but when I saw his face I couldn’t believe what I saw. I have never seen a child like this before.’ Since the baby was born, others in the village have been coming to their house to gawp at the child. But Arshad, a painter, said that his son’s deformities are God’s will, and is optimistic that he can help the baby live a good life for as long as he can. ‘God has given him to us,’ Arshad said. ‘We will not abandon him. We will take care of him for as long as he survives.’ The baby...
